problems importing Windows XP - Mode VM into vmware - player

I get the following message when I try to import the Windows XP - Mode VM into VMWare Player 4.0

`"This feature of VMware Player requires the VMware vCenter Converter Standalone product.

Click OK to install VMware vCenter Converter Standalone. Try again when the installation completes."

If I click OK the follwong error message appears :

" The "VMware vCenter Converter Standalone" product cannot be installed. If the problem persists, please contact VMware Technical Support. "

Can Anyone help me on this topic ?
