The iPad is a mobile platform; thus it is susceptible to the underlying transport reliability shortcommings that come with today's wireless networks. iOS multi-tasking implementation leaves much to be desired as well. These two facts makes the current session password management strategy a hunderance to being productive on the iPad with View. I understand many folks have security concerns around saving passwords. However, a one size fits all solution (no password saving) should not be the answer. The ability to allow each company to enforce their own security policies according to their needs should be given serious consideration.
I would like to see the following features implemented:
Allow the control of these settings by the view administrators on a global/pool scope.
Allow the configuration of session password caching: always, for x number of minutes, never
Allow the configuration of password saving for each connection: allowed, dissallowed
