NIC's Per Kernel - vSwitch - iSCSI

Hi there.

I'm planning a new VMWare ESXi 5.o installation in conjunction with a Dell EqualLogic SAN. My question is what is the best method for configuring the Kernels on my vSwitch.

I have created a new vSwitch1 for my iSCSI network and have two NIC's to use for this connection. From what i have read for best practice i can either:

1: Create 1 VM Kernel for my new vSwitch1 and allocate my two available NIC's as actvie / active to this kernel, assigning 1 IP address to the Kernel.

1: Create 2 VM Kernel's for my new vSwitch1 and allocate 1 NIC per Kernerl and assign 2 IP address. One for each Kernel / NIC.

Thanks,

J.
