I currently have a 4.1 environemnt with nexus 1000v ver 4.0(4) SV1 (3).
I know to upgrade the hosts to version 5 I would need to upgrade the nexus to the newest version but before i can do anything i have to upgrade the vCenter server to version 5. My question is ....if i upgrade vCenter server to version 5 will it continue to operate ok with the nexus 1000v ver 4.0(4) SV1 (3)?
I havent been able to find anything on that, all i find is that ESXi 5 would require an updated version of the Nexus 1000v but nothing that stas if vCetner server would continue to work ok with the older VEM/VSM. Since vCenter and the VSM/VEM are tightly integrated i would hate to upgrade to vCenter 5 and all the suddent all my host's networking stopped working cause it didnt work with the older VSM and VEM.
