Hi there!
I'm facing a problem when trying to use a VM backed up using ghettoVCB. After a successful backup, I tried copying the resulting files to use them in VMWare workstation and ensure the backup was "usable". But, when starting up the backed up VM, it shows that the disk cannot be detected (though the vmdks are there and the paths in the conf file are correct) and the VM tries to net boot, fails and display an error message: "System cannot be found".
I tried to restore the backed up VM using the ghettoVCB restore script, but got the same result, though the VM was appearing on ESXi VMs list.
The system used is VMware ESXi 4.1.0 build-260247.
The VM is backed up on a NAS (QNAP TS-239 Pro II+, 2x1TB RAID), and another process automatically copies the backed up VM to a USB disk connected to the NAS. That disk that is then used to try to restore the VM.
For te backup process, here are the pastebins:
- Debug: http://pastebin.com/TKcFR60s
- Dryrun: http://pastebin.com/2YtAzzMs
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
- Nicolas
