Hi guys
At home I have got 2 ESXi-servers with a vCenter 5 running virtual on one of these hosts (I know this is not supported or best practice, because if the host with the vCenter on it fails, only one hosts remains and it does not have the majority due to the loss of de VSA-service and an host). Nevertheless I think I have an error or obstacle unrelated to this.
Also, I am planning on cold migrating (first storage vMotion, removing the VM from inventory, adding in another host) the vCenter, so this problem would be tackled in the near future...
Currently I have installed the VSA Manager on the vCenter server and when I open the vSphere client on my client I do get the VSA Manager tab, but when I open it, it says "Loading" and afterwards a dialog box in Flash-style/VMware View management console style pops up saying "The VSA cluster is unavailable: Creating VC Session failed." with a title "VSA Cluster Unavailable".
What am I doing wrong? I don't find much documentation about installing a VSA, so a little bit of help would be appreciated by a junior and learning Belgian VMware engineer
I do have enought storage available. One of the hosts I have an 160GB SSD and 2TB HDD available, on the other one a 80GB SSD and a 320GB RAID 1 volume presented by an LSI Logic controller. All of these are mounted...
