vMA 4.1 config question

So I am setting up my first vMA appliance as i just got onto ESXi. I have gone through the release notes and setup AD authentication and have joined the vMA to my domain and have added my vCenter and an ESXi host (we have 6 total). Problem is when I try to set the target I get the message saying:

vifptarget --set | -s test.domain.local
-bash: -s: command not found
Error: Invalid arguments

Usage: vifptarget <option>
-bash: echo: write error: Broken pipe

Also I was able to login to the vMA SSH session with my AD credentials (domain admin). Problem is it says I don't have permissions to do anything. I found a couple articles on maybe editing the visudo but I can't seem to get onto that either. Anyone have any ideas on these issues?

Thanks.
