8.0.2- Workstation UI lockup on host

Hi;

   I'm having a problem where every once in a while it appears that VMware Workstation 8.0.2 User Interface  (running on a Win-7 64-Bit host) will appear to 'lockup' when running a Guest, usually while doing something that changes focus to or from the guest.

  This is usually happens when I'm running  a Guest that's not using the VMware tools at that moment. This morning it happened when I was working on a Fedora-13 32-bit Guest that wasn't running the tools, and was in Full-screen mode at the time. I was working in the Guest in full-screen mode, and then had minimized Workstation to do something on the Host desktop. The lockup occurred when I was trying to go back into the Guests full-screen mode.

  The symptom is that the Guest display will change color to a washed-out white (like looking through a white haze at the display underneath), and Win-7 will complain that vmware-exe has stopped responding. If I choose to 'wait', then nothing seems to improve. If I choose to 'end the program', it doesn't usually actually end until I try it for a while, and many times. While the problem is happening, I can C-A-D to get to the Windows Task manager, but I can't start new application in Windows.

  After vmware-exe finally ends, I can restart VMware Workstation, go to the Guest I was using, and it's still there and running. I can pick up where I left off.

  Looking into the Windows-7 Host event viewer, I can see an event

I'll attach an excerpt from the vmware-log in case that's helpful.

I don't usually have this problem with any application other than VMware Workstation.

  Does anyone else see this problem?

  Thanks;
