Is this the right way to install Windows SBS 2003 from CD's?

I want to install a Windows 2003 Server VM  on my SBS 2011 Host.   The  product comes as 5 CD's from Technet.  However Disk 1 is not bootable.

You mount the CD and then run   setup.exe.  Is the best way to do this  to install a bootable image of say Windows XP SP3 but define the OS as Windows  2003 Server (custom install) with around 60 GB and maybe 1 GB of RAM?   Then  I can mount CD 1 and proceed from there.  I just want to check WS 8.0.2 will not care that you've said your'e installing Window 2003 but have "fooled it" by actually   installing  an XP image and upgrading   In short what's a  Windows name  to WS? Naturally  I'll install Tools after I setup 2003.  I'd rather not be frustrated again with the WS product after I've gone ahead and burned 5 CD's

Thanks
