*** This is not the common issue of confusing the "delete" key with the "backspace" function ***
I am running Fusion 3.
I have an Apple full-size aluminum wired keyboard and a 2007 MBP running OS X Lion. This keyboard has both the common Apple "delete" key (which functions as a backspace or "backward-delete" on PC keyboards) as well as a "forward-delete" key.
The keys function as expected in Mac OS X and when booting to XP natively through Bootcamp. However, when running the same bootcamp installation of XP through Fusion, the "delete" key and the "forward-delete" key both function as forward-delete. The fn+delete combination does nothing.
I can go from the Mac environment where everything is working as expected, right into the XP environment (in a window) where the delete key is wonky, so I don't think this is a hardware problem. The same thing happens with the built-in keyboard, in that there is only forward-delete available in the virtual XP.
I have a second XP installation running off a firewire drive that exhibits the same behavior. Points to a Fusion + keyboard driver issue? Any ideas?
