I'm hoping that this might be a very simple solution.
I have 2x virtual machines that have RAW device mappings to seperate LUNs. There are 3 LUNS, 2x 10gb and 1x 40gb.
We have 2 Datacenters and i'm trying to configure SRM in vCenter 4.1 to include these 2x virtual machines. When going through the config, the RDM drives are showing up as "Not Configured". I don't want to have to detach the drives in order for the virtual machine to be configured with SRM.
I believe that the issue may lie in the Host ID. When the LUNs were created at the Primary and Secondary datacenters they were given different Host IDs. In EMC the LUN ID is the same, however in vCenter it has assigned different Host IDs.
The Host IDs at the Primary site are 30, 31 and 32 and at the secondary site those IDs were already in use so they were assigned 33, 34 and 35. Should this be an issue when configuring SRM?
