Windows 7 64 bit hangs with SVGA II Drivers

This is a small non-View ESXi 4.1 environment. The guest in question is stable and perfectly usable with the WDDM drivers however when I reverted to SVGA II drivers to support multiple monitors I get frequent and hard lockups. The machine doesn't respond to any input to the console. The lockups are so frequent (usually <5 minutes) that the machine is totally unusable.

This is not particularly surprising behavior based upon some other information out there...

However others suggest that reverting to the SVGA II driver is the fix. While they are correct in that it fixes the number of displays presented it immediately starts exhibiting these other freezing symptoms.

Is multi-monitor over PCoIP not officially supported in a VMware enviornment yet? I'm not using PCoIP but rather HP RGS; the concept is the same though, the VM has to have 2 (or more) console monitors. If it is supported what is the magic elixer that I have yet to find? Would introducing View 4.5 magically fix all of my problems?

Additionally, FWIW XP guests running multiple monitors on the same host are also stable. I'd rather not go to an RDP solution as I would have to use window compositing software (which I have yet to be impressed by any of). This client does not have a homogenous RDC v7 environtment yet and probably won't anytime soon.

Thanks in advance.
