I've already done the two things this (http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&docTypeID=DT_KB_1_1&externalId=1018757) knowledge base article said to do. I removed the files it said to remove and started the VM again, it still says unable to reserve memory. I went back to the article and it says to edit the .vmx file to remove the call to the .vmss file. I did that too, but still get the error.
It says that changing the hardware of the computer while virtual machines are in suspended mode will cause this. I did upgrade my ram, so I know that is the problem. The question is, how do I correct this error? I don't have the old ram to install to bring the machine back to the way it was before.
BTW, I'm using Fusion 3.1.3 on OS X 10.6.8. I've tried booting both my VMs (WinXP and OSX)
