Virtual Appliance Creation Hardware Requirements

Hi,

My Name is Jiju Jacob. I have the following query regarding creating Virtual Appliances and creating Virtual Machines.

I use VMWare ESXi 5.0 and VMWare WSSDK with JAX-WS for programmatically creating Virtual Machines and Virtual Appliances.

Whenever I use the CreateVM and the CreateVApp tasks with the ESXi 5.0 machine, I get a RestrictedVersion exception.

How do i get both of these to work? I searched on google, and I figured out that we need to buy license. I could not figure out which one?

Also, Do I need to buy Vcenter licenses in order to get the CreateVApp task to work?
