Scale the image to fit the screen for fullscreen games?

Ok, the thing is, i just found out that VMWare Player is capable of hardware accelerating 3D graphics. And does that extremelly well, was able to play Call of Duty 2 perfectly fine inside VM. However, the problem is with older games mostly. I'll take System Shock 2 as an example.

System Shock 2 only supports resolutions up to 1024x768. My screen is 1280x1024. If i want to play System Shock 2 emulated in full screen mode, i'm forced to play it in a smaller "window" with loads of black around the screen. VirtualPC 2007 was able to scale the image to fit the screen regardless of the resolution used.

So, even if it was an ancient Screamer 2 game that's running at 640x480 i was able to play it in full screen with image fit to the screen edge. Because 640x480 would be a horrifically small window inside my big screen (hell, imagine this on a 1920x1080 Full HD screen).

I was checking but couldn't find any such setting. I also have VMWare addons installed and also nos uch feature in it. Any idea?

I'm using latest VMWare Player and running WinXP SP3 on it with latest VMWare addons. It's much faster than VirtualPC, but lack of image scaling.
