Lab Manager Fencing Issues

Hello,

I am curious as to how other companies out there use Lab manager today for their Dev/QA Environments.  I am looking into both Lab manager and vCloud Director as a solution for rapid deployments of our QA and Dev environments while maintaining like-production server names that wont cause DNS conflicts. I've tried to do some digging through the forums and the web but I can't seem to find anybody who has accomplished building environments with similiar requirements as ours.

These environments typically consist of 10-15 servers, use tightly integrated AD authentication, and we have about 17 total environments.

The potential issue that I am running into is Active Directory on the Primary domain.  While I thought fenced networks allowing one way traffic would prevent DNS from updating the Prod server with the QA one, it appears during my testing that I did overwrite the DNS entry.  This would cause a problem for us with creating servers that have the same names as our Prod servers.

Is there anybody else out there who has run into a similiar situation like this?  If so, how did you over come it?  I am thinking about separating our QA/DEV servers into a child domain and isolating AD Controllers into each environment.  What are the communities thoughts?  Does anybody else run a Lab environment as extensive as this?

Thanks!

~Mike
