Is VMware ESXi 4.1 server on which datastore has been created with the block size 1Mb. Now permanently we come across this restriction. There was a thought, пересоздать datastore with other block size - 8Mb. But for this purpose that recreate datastore, it is necessary to transfer somewhere all VM. On the server there is no more a disk space. The place is on some computers of a network on OS Windows.
If I copy VM of Datastore browser or FastSCP all THIN disks become THICK (i.e. VM used 5Gb, provisioned space 20Gb, and the disk after copying occupies 20Gb). These are the huge sizes, we do not have such disk place anywhere.
How it is possible to copy VM that the disk remained THIN?
Or it can be somehow possible to change the block size without copying VM?
