VCOPS 5.0 vAPP won't Register/License with vCenter 5.0 appliance?

I deployed a fresh 5.0 vCenter appliance, loaded in the license for VC Operations, and then installed the vAPP per the instructions.  I made sure that the DNS names were all resolvable forward and reverse per the note on this message board.  I specified my vCenter server by IP address, not hostname, though it is fully resolvable forward and reverse.  My vCenter is licensed as "Standard".

Symptoms:

1. Registration problem.  It "tests" ok, but then says that it cannot register, and would I like to force it to register.  I say yes, and it says that it completes.  I get an icon in my "Home" page in the vSphere client, but I do not have an asset in my Licensing section, so I cannot apply the license.

2. Looking at the Status page of the VC Operations admin website, there is information in there that doesn't make sense to me.  For some reason it says that the UI and Analytics VMs have the same address (they don't - they are statically assigned different addresses if you go to the console), but the host names are correct.  It also lists my vCenter server as registered but unlicensed.  I'm not sure what this means as my vCenter is licensed - there is a separate line for VCOPS, which does not have the license applied yet.

Questions:

1. How do I get my vApp to register properly?  There seems to be zero diagnostics to find out what is happening.

2. Should I care that it doesn't seem to correctly report the address of the Analytics VM?

Thanks for any help,

Nathanael
