I have a single guest machine that alerts several times per week on the metric "VM Max Total Disk Latency". We have the trigger set to being above 50 for 5 min is a warning and above 75 for 5 min is an alert.
I've attached a screenshot of the performance data for this metric alone for the past 5 days. We also monitor simlar metric in the guest. The operating system is Server 2003.
I have checked the alignment in the VM using vDisk Informer and it does tell me there's an offset (see screenshot). Would this affect the disk latency that bad?
I've spot-checked a few other machines that run the same OS and they have the same offset and do not have this issue.
Any ideas?
TIA
