Hello!
The Problem with keyboard typematic rate (keyboard auto-repeat rate) in in Vmware Workstation 8.0.2 seems to be fixed.
But not with cursor keys !!! The cursor moves with jumps. It is easily noticeable if you move the text with cursor keys in Editor (Notepad) or for example working in Total Commander (with cursor keys, of course.)
Other keys are acceptable (there are no problems).
In guest-BIOS and in guest-Windows are maximum settings for keyboard typematic rate.
Host: Win7x64 8Gb AMD Phenom II X4 955.
Guest: WinXPx86 1Gb.
The vmware tools are up to date.
In Windows Win7x86-guest it is all right (There are no problems with cursor keys) !
There are no problems with cursor keys also, if: Vmware Workstation 8.0.2, Guest: WinXPx86 1Gb, the vmware tools are from Vmware Workstation 7.1.5 !
Everywhere is the host: Win7x64 8Gb AMD Phenom II X4 955.
