This is my first post so sorry if I am lacking a bit of information.
Overview of the issue is that yesterday at work I was upgrading our sql native client drivers to improve sql connectivity. After installing the CPU just maxed out at 100% which was strange so we reverted to a snapshot. Since then the service has not started 
.
- Vcenter server and sql are on two seperate servers and there are no communication issues 1433 is able to connect to the database
- ODBC connection is successfull
- SQL has no error logs pertaining to the issue
- IIS is not running on vcenter server nor is anything utilizing the ports required for vcenter server to run
The log file is not too helpful too either. Just wanting to see if anyone else has seen this?
We do have a backup of the vcenter server database. If it is neccessary to restore it to the same date than that can be done.
