Host-only adapter does not seem to be running

After upgrading to VMWare 6.0.2, I get the following error when I try to connect my VM to a Host Only network:

"The host-only adapter driver does not seem to be running.  If you have not rebooted the host since installing the host-only network adapter, you need to do so before you can use this support.  Otherwise, check the system Event Log for an explanation of why service VMnetAdapter did not startup properly.

Failed to connect virtual device Ethernet0."

There are no errors in the System Event log.  If I open VMWareTools and attempt to connect the Nic1 device, I get the same error.  Bridged and NAT modes work properly, but host-only does not.  I've attached my .vmx file.  I get the same error as soon as I attempt to start a VM that is configured for host only mode, before the OS even starts booting.
