Guys,
Using RHEL 6.2 and VMWare Workstation 7.1.5 on a Dell Optiplex 790. Just created a fresh RHEL 6.2 image and installed VMware. However, when I try to launch any VM I receive the error:
Could not open /dev/vmmon: No such file or directory. Please make sure that the kernel module "vmmon" is loaded.
- Failed to initialize monitor device.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled VMware and receive the same error. I have stopped/started the /etc/init.d/vmware service.
sudo modprobe vmmon did nothing.
Any other workarounds?
