I currently have two PowerEdge 2950's that have Intel Zeon L5410 Processors and two other PowerEdge 2950's that have Intel Zeon E5335 Processors, when I do a vMotion I get the following error:
"Host CPU is incompatible with the virtual machine's requirements at CPUID level 0x1 register 'ecx'....."
(Virtual Technology is enabled on all hosts)
I was pretty sure that the two processors were compatible, but I could be wrong. If anyone could point me in the correct direction I would appreciate it.
If you know off the top of your head will I need to setup Vmware EVC? If so will I really need to turn off all the guests in the cluster to enable it?
