ESXi 4.1 U2, HP Proliant DL360 G7 and Broadcom iSCSI Hardware Acceleration

I have been trying for a while now, with all possible drivers listed on HP and VMware sites to enable the hardware acceleration on

Broadcom 5709 Quadport 1 GbE interface cards

in combination with

ESXi 4.1 U2

and

HP ProLiant DL360 G7

without any success.

For both the Broadcom vmhba and the datastore I get a status of Hardware Acceleration Unknown.

Consequently I was wondering whether these iSCSI TOE cards even are supported in the above configuration ?

Are there maybe any changes in ESXi 5.0 ?
