Configure Workstation 8 from command line on Linux

I'm replacing VMware Server 2.0.2 with Workstation 8 on CentOS 5.7 which has no display and is accessible by ssh (remote console) only. Is there any way to configure Workstation 8 without GUI, similar to Server's /usr/bin/vmware-config.pl, or maybe through config files? I need to configure the networking, enable and register a couple of shared VMs. I tried connecting to the CentOS-based Workstation from a Windows-based Workstation GUI, but it doesn't allow configuring the remote server or even opening an existing VM (though I can create a new one, which I don't need).

Thanks.
