So i jsut upgraded to View 5.0 and also moved from xp desktops to windows 7 view desktops. They are performing quite nicely and there have been few or no complaints from my users. However there is one issue that seems to be common among users with linked clone desktops.
Our group policy has folder redirection enabled to our users and it works with the linked clones. Users can open and view documents in there redirected documents folder. However if they attempt to delete the file they are told that they need permission to do so. For example if user domain\test is trying to delete his own document it will tell him he needs permission from domain\test or in other words himself to delete the file. I'm not sure if this has to do with the creation of the profile in the linked clone or what.
Also i had done some poking around to see if this is windows 7 related and most said that it was necessary to disable UAC to fix this. I did that but am still facing the problem.
Any ideas on this?
