Hi,
On VMware side I have VMware vCenter 5.1 Update1 with SRM 5.1 Update1 installed.

I had an issue with DR Group replication status getting suspended when trying to Reprotect in failback process. Gives me the following error"
" Error - Failed to reverse replication for consistency group '......'. SRA command 'prepareReplication' failed for consistency group. The server fault 'ExtendedFault' had no message"
I searched through the VMware/HP compatibility matrix in VMware and HP sites, but couldn't find a clear answer for any compatibility issues.
I have check the following page:

Anyone experienced such an issue with Reprotection process?

What's the specific service that manages the email functionality in vCops. I've been using the emailFilter.xml file for creating custom alerts. Sometimes I run into a situation where I continually keep receiving emails for an alert condition even though the condition no longer exists or after I have changed the emailFilter.xml file. The only way I've found to get rid of the email from continually being sent is to restart the vcops service which restarts everything. Is there a specific service that manages email that I could restart without having to restart all of the vCops services?
Have a number of Fault Tolerance VM's and am looking to back these up the simplest way possible. i.e. flat file copy.
Question I have is: If i 'power down' the VM's, 'turn off' FT on each of these VM's; can I then copy the folders containing these from browsing the source datastore to another datastore? Then once the copy is complete, re-enable FT on each and fire them all up?
Would this work? Installing a more suitable backup solution would be the preferred option, but unfortunately this "setup" is supported by third party support, with no options for change.
Thanks
Hello,
I just added two flash cards to my view servers. VFRC is working OK with servers, but I wanted to accelerate user's view guests.
I want to accelerate the system disk (the one inherited from golden image). I tried configuring VFRC on the golden image, and after that taking a snapshot.
When recomposing I see that the linked clones do not have VFRC activated, so they don't do flash caching.
How can it be done automatically, as the only way I see for now is changing the guests HD VFRC properties one by one.
Thank you!

What I am trying to do is check to see if there is a snapshot for the vm's in $list (this part appears to work. on the IF portion,
but in the ELSE...
my problem is I do not know how to just plug in some html to display something like "NO SNAPSHOT FOUND"
I am using the convertto-html to create a report...

Hi,

How can you way to export VM from ESXi 4.1 environment because I need to import this machine into my new test ESX 5.1 U1.
Could I have problems in virtual hardware detection ?

I am using Fusion 5 with a recent upgrade to Mavericks. I am unable to launch Fusion. Attached are screen shots of the messages I receive when attempting to launch Fusion. I have changed file/folder permissions showing me as having read-write permissions but nothing changes. Do these messages suggest that I may need to upgrade to Fusion 6?
Thanks
Currently running VCOPs 5.8. All of my host are showing with the exception of one in a 3 host cluster. I have placed the server in Maintenance Mode and restarted both the host and the VCOPs app with no change. Anyone have any ideas where I can troubleshoot next?
Hi,
I am having some issue with setting up my printer on VMware view 5.3.
1. I have serial printers and using serial to USB converter to connect the printers to Thinlients and redirect to Virtual desktops. The devices does not get automatically redirected. What do I do for this? I need to manually add the printer only then does it work.
2. How do I rename locally redirected printer names from client machines ? The redirected printers have #session number along with it. I want the same as the local machine to avoid user confusion. Is this possible, to have the same name as the local machine printer names for the redirected printers inside the Virtual machine.
Thanks.

We are seeing some latency at our application during testing.
We also see that it is due to load on one of the datastores (high queue depths for this LUN from the SAN).
We have a large number of VMs on this DS.
Is there a method by which we can determine which VM(s) are producing load (other than going through each one one-by-one)?
Something like a nice GUI which shows read/write IOPS/throughput graphs for each VM in a particular datastore?
I'm fairly certain that the hardware is performing as expected.
I also know we can improve performance by adding resource (adding disks to this LUN, etc.), however, I'm trying to determine exactly where the load is coming from and then if the load is justified.
TIA,
Rich
If I setup a collection to check the patch status of machines and I assign it to all windows machines when I run it will it automatically launch the process on every machine at the same time or does it only do a certain number at a time before going onto others. I'm concerned that if I run this against 400 windows virtual machines it might cause some type of I/O storm. I was wondering if I should break out the machine it runs against so that there isn't any type of I/O storm or whether VCM will limit the amount of collections running at one time.
What is the easiest way to find all snapshots older than a week and send out an email notification using Orchestrator?
